Baby Sitting a Big Dog

This week I did a friend a favor and watched her black lab. My dogs loved having her over to play with and Eve (black Lab) would drop on her paws to play with Chloe and Ella. She was very well behaved but I realized that Labs shed. I didn't realize how much till I vacuumed and discovered all the hair that I had vacuumed up. Eve is a great dog but this little weekend has made me realize that I don't like I can ever live with a big dog. I'm afraid of them a little bit and my fears all came out this weekend. Good thing is that Eve goes home tomorrow and I know that my two dogs will be sad but it will be nice to get back to normal.

Marking her territory

This last weekend, Chloe decided to mark her territory. This marking wasn't just in any particular spot. Let me tell you the story...

We went to visit a friend and her daughters had some friends over, this included 2 boys. Well Chloe got really chummy with these 2 boys and decided to pee on both of them. It wasn't much but it was a enough to embarrassed me, so we left. The boys just took off their sweatshirts and washed them. Chloe must have really liked them :)

It will be a while before we go visit that house again!!!!

Playing with Paper Towels

Last week when I came home from work Ella and Chloe had pulled the paper towels down from the couch and preceded to pull the paper towels from the roll. When I got home there was paper everywhere so I decided to join in and take pictures before I cleaned it up. Ella and Chloe love to pull the paper apart and shred it.

For some reason my little Chloe seems to always find her self in some scrap or another. This week was the funniest story, Chloѐ somehow got all wrapped up in the rose bush. She was whimpering when I found her, she had tangled herself up in one of the vines that was hanging down to the ground. I realized that she was caught so I cut the rose bush, and then discovered that she had her hair rolled around the rose bush up around her ear and across her belly. I am betting that the rose bush caught her hair then in her struggle to get out of the thorns she rolled across it and ended up rolling her hair around the vine. It is similar to when a girl is round brushing her hair for the first time and she gets it caught in her hair and then you have to gently pull all the hair out of the brush.
Well, I had to cut the vines out of Chloѐ then unroll them out of her hair. She was sure glad to be free of that vine. She was so traumatized that I had to hold and comfort her to get over the shock. I think it was that she couldn't move when she was caught up in the rose bush.

ok, Its been way too long since I have updated my blog. I have sold all the puppies but one. They have all gone to great homes I am so happy that I was able to find good homes for them all. Prada is my last puppy and tho I want to be selfish and keep her I can't have 4 dogs in the house, so I must find a good home for her. I have decided to keep Chloe and she is so cute and such a diva. She wines to be picked up on the bed, she wines or makes her little dog noise to be picked up on the couch. She lifts one ear all the time and the right ear just stays floppy. She has the cutest face expressions and her tail is always waging. SOOO stickn' cute.

last weekend I went to San Fran to help promote the Yudu, Yourstory, Cricut, Cuddlebug from Provo Crafts. The Maker Fare was so much fun and i loved the unique atmosphere. I will add some photos soon. Our booth was so busy and I enjoyed talking with everyone. We won best of show and it was really exciting. I worked really hard and my feet hurt at the end of the weekend but it was totally worth it to see every ones face responding the the Yudu (silk screen maker).

A few weeks before that was our Miss Orem pageant. I was stress over that but in the end it all came together. I was really happy with the stage. I miss seeing the girls every week, but we now have a new Miss Orem and her name is Chelsey Ingersoll. It has been fun working with Krystal and she has become a little sister to me, she did a wonderful job for our city and we will miss our has our Miss Orem.

Slacker

I am a Slacker, it has been awhile since my last update. I've been so busy with new changes at work and wrapping up Miss Orem that I haven't had time to get caught up on my blogs. I know have a new goal to up date this blog every Sunday with something interesting that happened to me during the week.

Today Cooper (one of my puppies) found himself in front of the mirror. As I turned and caught his eye in the mirror, he looked so cute standing on his dog bed staring into the mirror and waving his paw, like he was waving at me. I desperately wanted a photo but when i moved the event was over and he was following me out the door. Oh well I will just have to try and reenact it later sometime.

The other evens that have kept me so busy at work, has been playing with the Yudu machine from Provo Craft. I have created some really cute items and I have a few more to do before all my projects are done and I can up load all the photos on my face book account.

Easter Sunday

Today I decided that I would make mine own Easter Dinner. So I grilled some chicken and steamed my asparagus and carrots, the potatoes turned out all right, but I didn't like the spices that were on them. So I won't do that again. Over all I was very happy with my cooking today.

A week ago I decideed to try and make tarts because I had this cut pan that I wanted to make something with. So I pulled out the cookbook and studies the recepies on how to make tarts, thank goodness for Cassie because I had a few questions that my cookbook couldn't answer. Cassie came to my resescure and helped me pull it all together. I made peach tarts and they turned out great. I will add the photo as soon I locate it.

Well, time sure flies by so fast. The puppies are now 4 weeks old, their eyes and ears are now open. They have been walking on their legs and for a while they were a little wobbly but now they are getting the hang of it. Eddie has been waging his tail, when ever the puppies get close to him in their cage. He thinks they want to play with them.

-Tonight was the cutest sight that I have witnessed yet. All the puppies were playing with each other and they were wrestling together. Prada is a little dare devil, she picks fights all the time cause she wants to play. Tonight everyone was trying to bite each other (they have no teeth, yet) and pawing each other- I wished I'd had my camera close. Here are new photos of all the puppies. AKA Kate now has a new home- and her name has been changed to Sassy. Chole also has a home. Now I have 4 left to find good homes.

Last night was the cutest night ever with the new puppies. Halen and Oreo were playing and Halen was trying to bite Oreo's ear. They had a ball playing together. Cooper has discovered his voice and barks every know and then just to here it. Parda is walking all over the place and has discovered she likes her legs. Traveling

I new when the month of January was going to hit that I would be traveling most of this month, but what I didn't realize is that at the end of all this traveling I would miss Utah, my family, and my friends. I finally realized that I enjoy having time to myself to spend with family or friends and that staying in a hotel is ok, and wonderful if they have nice beds.

Over this past month I have traveled to Tampa, Florida, Long Beach, California; the CHA show in California, then back to Tampa, Florida for HSN stuff. Then in between the traveling I have been working so hard at home and at work prepping for training of the yudu, getting ready for shows, and prepping for Sundance with Mark Montano. I can defiantly say that this month has been full of surprises and alot has been happening.

Some of my fun memories of this crazy month are:

-- Getting to know and spending time with Mark Montano.
We've become BFF's (Best Friends Forever-See Pic)
--Spending time with Mike's wife and Tonya at the Sundance event (Green Lodge).
--Spending time with Halen at Sundance (couldn't have done this event without you)
--Spending time with the Hosts HSN training them on the Yudu and Yourstory
--Helping out with the Live HSN Yudu shoot.
--Demoing the Yudu at CHA and being video
--The CHA experience all together (I enjoyed getting to know a bunch of people better in the company at this show)
--Going to dinner with Mark and hanging out at the lounge
--Hanging with Mark at the Provo Craft booth at CHA-
--Spending time with Mike & Lori at the ISS Show (I finally understand what all the fuss is about Provo Craft's Yudu is about- Its amazing how Provo Craft simplified the whole silk screen process)

Memories I was sad about
--missing Ella (my dog) have her puppies (thanks Jen)
puppies (5 girls) their names are: Co, Chloe, Oreo, Prada, Kate
boy puppies (1) name is: Devan
--saying good buy to Mark
--leaving the warm weather in Florida
--missing teaching my primary lessons (I missed my kids)
--missed seeing Halen every day at work.

As much as I was excited to do all this traveling I am very glad to be home.

That's exactly what I am doing, hanging here at the house watching the TV with Raina, Jay, Scotty, and Emily. We are going to watch the ball drop in New York- someday i would like to go to New York and see it live.

Christmas 2008

For Christmas I went home to hang out with Mom and Dad in Blanding. It was great to drive down with JB, the drive is so long but when you are with someone else time flies by so fast. Brad, Megan, & Kaven were there and it was great to watch Kaven open his Christmas presents. All he cared about was the box and the wrapping paper. Me and JB drove down the day before Christmas- thank goodness for that because it snowed all night long and the following day. The next day we watch Brad and Megan unwrap their presents to get on the road, then the rest of us at breakfast then finished unwrapping presents. The next day we went and played on the snowmobiling machines: I only lasted 5 min then I got on the four wheelers and enjoyed that a lot more. Check out my pics.

Christmas Time

I love the month of December not only because its my birthday, but because it rejuvenates my spirit and boosts my energy. This month builds me up to give service through out the whole year. I enjoy spending time with family and loved ones, and even great to spend time with friends. I love looking for the just the right gift, and then seeing their face as they open the present. Its just a joy to buy things for others, knowing that you are giving them such a simple joy. There are so many things that I love about Christmas, spending time with my dogs, and watching Christmas movies with my roommates. AH! Christmas is so good for the spirit! I love the Christmas caroling, decorating the tree and house with lights, and putting my my Christmas village. I love the giving spirit that comes with this month, but most of all I love that we celebrate the Savior's birthday. Its good for the soul to remember our Savior and to try to be like him. If you are not in the Christmas mood, do something for someone else and soon your mood with change.

Thanksgiving Morning

Thanksgiving morning was beautiful. It had just rained and the view was georgous. I quickly grabbed my camera and took some photos of the dew drops on the leaves. I love the smell of rain after a rainshower. The world is wonderful and fresh.

Thanksgiving was wonderful, as I spent it with my sister and her family. The kids were a joy to be around and the three dogs. My sister did a wonderful job on dinner and the turkey was perfect. I was greatful to spend my day with my sister and her family. Thank You, Tammi and Ken.

Twilight Movie

First off the Movie "Twilight" was great. My expectations were high and the move didn't quite reach those expectations. I do realize that there wasn't a lot of money to put into this first film and hope that in the next books the quality of the book will be more evident in the move. I still loved the move and had the same feeling at the end of the move like I did at the end of the books. Since I own all the books, I must purchase the movie as well. I can't wait to see it again. My roommate Emily and I both dressed up for the movie. Emily was the rogue vampire "Victoria" and I was "Alice". I dressed up for work because our tickets for the movie was right at 5pm. I left work early to make the movie on time. I had a blast!. After the movie, a few of the group who saw the movie went out to eat. Boy the stir that Emily caused, everyone noticed her and she was soking up all the attention.

Getting Ready for Twilight

Tonight we are dying our hair to get ready for Twilight. Emily and I are dressing up as Alice (me) and Victoria (Emily). Friday night is the big opening and I can hardly wait to see this movie. I am little worried about the movie itself. But I am a die Hard van of the books so I plan on buying the DVD when it comes out. Check out our before before and after picture.

Catching Up

There are a few events that I need to catch everyone up on.
Deer Hunting this year was an event. I took both dogs with me and they had a ball playing with Smokey. The dogs ran around the farm house and played in the weeds to their hearts content. The family had fun roasting marshmallows around the campfire. The kids played and played and collected tons of bones. The women went for a walk down the dirt road, we walked 3 miles right before the sunset- it was really pretty. One funny story, when we the girls headed off to go on our walk the dogs followed us to the cattle guard. Ella and Smokey both stopped at the cattle guard but no not Eddie, he took a running jump and sailed over half of the cattle guard. He landed on the metal parts then moved his feet and his legs sank through the cattle guard. It was so funny. Eddie got he strength to jump the rest of the way to the ground and he looked so proud of him self that he had made it across the cattle guard. Tammi picked him up and put him back with the other dogs. The day of the deer hunt was a lot of fun. Kisti and I went hunting with Dad, he had us push some trees so to try to scare up some deer. We ended up scaring out a deer that JB shot. He was a nice 4 X 4 with a 26 inch spread. The horns set back slimier to elk horns. The horns are really pretty, JB is going to mount them. They will look great on his wall. Later I found out that Dad got his deer on the last day of the hunt. It was really relaxing being down on the farm. I had a ton of fun hanging with the family.

Halloween:
This year for Halloween I chose not to dress up the dogs. Ya I know I really should have but I didn't have the money. We had our annual family Halloween party and I dressed up as a flower child girl, Emily helped me put flower in my wig. I looked great. For the actual Halloween day, I dressed up as a Greek goddess for work. I had a ball in that costume- I even had a dagger. The evening was spent playing games with friends at the house. Then the next night I got to dress up as a Make up girl for a host a murder party. This was the best Halloween ever. I was able to dress up in three different costumes. I plan to dress up for Twilight here in a week. That will be so much fun. I enjoy dressing up in different costumes.

Singing like a Pro

Applebee's here in Orem has a Karaoke on Tuesday nights. I've started going with a group of friends. They decided to have an Applebee's Idol and somehow I got signed up for the contest. The first week I sang "When you say nothing at all" and I had a group of friends come to vote for me. I made it to the 2nd round, which was last Tuesday night. I sang the song "I will Survive" and did an OK job at it. Even though I did a good job I didn't have very many friends to vote me, so I didn't make it. I still had a great time and I loved wearing my pink hat. Charise came and gave me hints on prepping my voice before I sang my song.

4 girls, 2 dogs, and a big campfire

Yes, I went camping last week up near Kamus and it was so beautiful. Me and three other girls went together and I took the dogs. I don't think they had as much fun as I did, but Eddie sure did bark a lot when people walked by the camp site. We did all the cooking with the dutch ovens and over the fire- this was really fun. The dogs slept a lot and got really dirty laying int he dirt. We went for a few walks, to run to the bathrooms and that was it. We spent the whole Saturday all four of us girls, relaxing near the fireside and reading books. We also ate a bunch of junk food and made a wonderful stew that night. I had so much fun that weekend it was really relaxing and just what I needed. Cassie and Emily enjoyed making the fires and cutting the wood. Can you see the shape of a devilish face in this picture above. We had some big fires on both nights, but what do you expect, when you have four girls who like to play with fire.

The Shoe Fetish

Yes, Eddie has know chewed up three pairs of my favorite shoes. I know that its mostly my fault, because I leave the shoes down on the floor. He is just so fast, and quick, that he gets to my shoes before I know it- yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. The good thing is that he only chews on my shoes instead of the roommates- thank goodness! other wise I would have to buy everyone new pairs of shoes to make up for Eddie's Fetish.

Weekend of three dogs

Over the last few days or maybe its been a week- we've had Smokey spending time with us. Eddie and Smokey have played non stop. I sometimes feel like I have my own personal speedway in the front room. Those two dogs and sometime Ella too, chase each other around and around. Also I must include the barking that goes with the chase. They are are hoot to watch. Most of the time it will be 2 against 1, and it seems that the odd one out is always Eddie but he doesn't seem to mind because he can run so fast. Having Smokey over has been really great for Ella sometimes she gets a break on teasing from Eddie. I think that Eddie will miss Smokey when its time to go, but I think we have another week before he has to go home. His parents and family have been traveling around the East coast and they are having the time of their lives.

Tonight, Smokey seems he has decided that he doesn't like guys, we have some house guests over and he barked at them when they first came into the house. It was so funny to see him act scared towards men.

Another chapter in Eddie's Life

The latest escapade in Eddie's life is is love for new toys. I no longer need to purchase toys for him to chew on and drag around the room. I just need to give him a roll of toilet paper, some plastic bottles, or mail that is not important. He is still trying to chew on my shoes, so I have developed a new habit- keeping my closet door closed. Eddie loves to cuddle or climb into my lap when I am sitting down on the couch. He always manages to squirm under my arm and squeeze himself onto my lap. He is so cute I am glad that I have him in my life.

Eddie and Ella have both gotten new haircuts- I shaved them and since the haircut Ella has played more with Ella (I guess her long coat was too hot and that's why she slept all the time). Its a joy to see Ella playing or chasing more around the house. I hope to breed her soon so she has to loose some weight. It will be fun to see how Eddie handles new puppies around the house.

Eddie's new chew toy

Eddie has decided that he likes to chew off the heads of flowers, stems and even bulbs. Yes, he actually pulled up a flower bulb of mine and was chewing on it in the TV room. I came home from work and found the stem, leaves and bulb all chewed up around the room. What am I going to do with him, I just keep reminding myself that he is a puppy.

Well the latest update on the dogs, is that Eddie decided he was hungry and wanted to chew on my shoes. Of course, this happened when I wasn't at home, (do you really think I would let me just chew on my shoes) so lets just say that when I came home from the Miss Orem Pageant my favorite white pointy shoes was chewed on and he actually took a bit out of my shoe. I was so upset - they were my favorite shoes. Some other things that Eddie has been getting into is the trash in the bathroom. I guess Ella doesn't have enough energy to keep up with him so he finds other things to chew on. Now I have to close my closet, empty the trash more often and other fun stuff to keep him out of trouble. What can I say, when he looks at you with those sad eyes you can't stay mad at him for too long.

Home with the Cows

Last weekend we (dogs and I) ended up in Blanding to help dad brand calf's. Of course I didn't let the dogs anywhere near the calf's. Eddie would have had a barking fest and lost his voice. They stayed home with Smokey and slept while everyone was gone. Ella is in heat and Eddie's hormones kicked in. My poor family got to experience the wonderful joy of watching a male dog mount a female dog. Yes, my family got to learn about the birds & the bees in regards to dog.(sorry family) This wasn't a good idea either because Eddie shouldn't have done that. So for the next few days we had to really watch Eddie and Ella and I had to keep them separated. Once I realize the situation I asked Tami to watch Eddie this week, so he got to spend the week with Smokey and they played hard everyday. When I pick Eddie up yesterday, Smokey wanted to come. I think he will be kinda sad today at loosing his playtime buddy.

I had a great time with the family and enjoyed every minute with them, after branding we took out the 4-wheelers and played the afternoon away. It was fun!

Eddie's first Hair Cut

Two weeks ago I decided that I was tired of Eddie bringing in all sorts of sticks and stuff that attached to his hair. Yep Eddie got his first hair cut. The groomers said he did a really good job and sat still except when it came to cutting the hair around his eyes. He is all shaved except for the hair on the top of his head. Now he looks like a punk rocker with his new spiky doo. Ella got a hair cut too and she looked so cut with her hair up in bows. See the before and after pictures. As always Ella was a perfect princess for the groomers and soon Eddie will be the perfect prince (maybe).

Sugar and Puppies

The other day my roommate called to tell me that Eddie had gotten into the chocolate. Yep he really did. We (the roommates) leave all sorts of goodies on the coffee table. Well over the last 2 weeks Eddie has learned how to jump up on the couch and since he has discovered his jumping legs he now jumps all over the place including jumping onto the coffee table. Yep that's how he did it, he ate a chocolate sucker and a half of a flake candy bar. When I got home from work he was a spaztic puppy. He was running all over the place full speed ahead, he jumped from the floor on to the top of the couch in like a sec- it was all that sugar. Thank goodness he wasn't really sick and I didn't have to take to the vet. Guess who slept through all this sugar fest- Ella

Puppies, Bloomers and Braziers

Yes, Eddie has decided that he now likes to chew on Bloomers and Braziers aka bras. Today I found one of my roommates braziers on my floor next to a pair of socks, so now he has new fetish. I never had any of this with Ella so this is a whole new experience for me on keeping everything off the floor and the doors closed-its like having a kid in this house-agggggggggg. Even though he does all these funny things we love him very much.

Laundry Basket as a Toy

Eddie & Ella love to play in the Laundry Basket. They will play for hours in the basket. On top of the basket. Ella in the Basket and Eddie outside the basket, they will attack each other through the mesh and play for along time. Some times we will put Eddie in the basket and then throw a ball he will chase the ball throught he basket, making the basket roll. Its so funny.

Easter Egg Coloring

It's been a while since I have posted anything that has been going on in the dogs life. This week we went over to my sisters place to do Easter eggs. OK, I did the Easter eggs with the kids and Ella and Eddie played with Smoky. They chased each other around the house and had a lot of fun. They played out side with the kids and then ended up in the house. One thing I have discovered since Easter is here, is that Eddie likes to play with plastic Easter eggs. He tries to pick up with his mouth and then they fall out and he chases it all over the TV room. Ella sits there and watches him run around the house. He defiantly has more energy then her. I will take some pic and attach later. OK, I colored three eggs but forgot to take pictures. The dogs and I have already eaten 2 of them, so there is only one lonely egg by itself to represent our Easter egg coloring party. Oh Well-

Well, its been a while since I have written about the puppies. My life at work as gotten so crazy busy that I haven't had a chance to write about the latest escapades of the puppies.

All the puppies are now with their new homes. Smoky went to the Bonnie home and has adjusted really well, the potty training is still in progress but he seems to love playing with the kids. Charlie (white) had gotten a new name, his old name was Mac but my brother decided to purchase him for his wife for Christmas. Charlie went to his new home last week and from what I here he is doing pretty good besides learning to potty train all over again in his new home. All the puppies have had 2 sets of shots and all the puppies did very well at the vets.

One additional peace if information is about little Sadie. My poor little girl, went to her new home and 4 days later died. We don't know why the vet couldn't figure it out, so it must have just been her time to go. I was really sad! I will have a tribute page just for her in my next blog.

Now, Eddie is adjusting to all of his brothers being gone and he plays with Ella all the time. They are so good together and have so much fun wrestling. We are at home for the holidays and he will love the wrapping paper and ribbons more then his new Christmas sweater. I will add pictures later.

WOW, how time flies by fast. The puppies are 6 weeks old now and getting so big. They are big round fluffy puppies and they love to play and wrestle. Ella is weening them from eating on her and they eat puppy food as well. They love human attention and every time I come home they start whining because they want out of their cage. They love to run and run and run. They are so cute, I am glad that I am keeping one of the puppies. This week is the time for shots, and they were very good last night as I trimmed their nails. Well, this weekend was a big deal in the puppy world. First the puppies went for a road trip to go with me to visit my friend Jen. They did really well in the car and just huddled down the carrier I had them in. They had a ball playing with Jake and Daisy. Then on Saturday I took the puppies over to see my friend Lori. She has puppies too, so we had a puppy play date. Well her puppies and mine were scared of each other and it was a while before Sadie and Smokey went over to check out the other puppies. Eddie and Mac both just stayed close to me and wouldn't leave my side. When one of the dogs barked, then all my puppies would wake up and take notice- it was the funniest thing, they were scared.

They also got their first worm treatment and next week they will get their first shots. They are so active and full of live it is really fun to watch them play & growl at each other. Here's some pic from this weekend.

I thought dressing up Ella for Halloween again this year, but the fact that she is nursing still, made it a little difficult. Ella is probably thinking, Yahoo I don't have to wear the ballerina costumer again. This year I dressed up as Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter. Check out my picture. My family thought I looked good. I even have her wand- I loved my costume this year.

Just yesterday I sold my last puppy. It seems that this litter all my family wanted a puppy. So now I will be able to keep an eye on all the puppies and see how they've turned out. I will be breeding ELLA again next year- sorry if you wanted one, but keep checking out the blog, cause I will use this blog for my next litter as well.

Update on Puppies

Well its been a while since I have written on this blog. Over the last few weeks, I have trimmed the puppies toe nails and given them a bath. The trimming of the toe nails went off smoothly, they all did really well. But when it came time for baths, that was a different story.Smokey (black) took it well he was kinda scared of the water. Sady didn't know what to think but she took to the blow dryer just fine. Mac took to the bath ok, but then it came time to blow him dry he howled and tried to run away from the blow dryer. Eddie took to the back just fine and even didn't mind the drying. After the baths, all the puppies were still shaking so all my roommates took a puppy and help him or her get warm again. It was really fun. I weighed them last Sunday and Sady is a 1 lb 12 oz, Smokey & Eddie are 1lb 10 oz, and Mac is 1lb 6oz. They are all big and fluffy and the natural curls have popped out since their bath time. Check out the pic's.

Note: on their 2 weeks birthday all the puppies weighted 1lb .02 oz except for Mac who only weighted 1lb.
All the boys sleep on their backs a lot and Sugar needs sleeps on her side, but she loves to bury her face in the blankets to sleep.
Eddie and Smokey both have ticklish spots and love to cuddle.
Sugar is the bossy one, but what do you expect since is the only girl.
Ears haven't opened up yet.
They will get their first toe nails clipped tonight.

Here is Smokey, the puppies in the Far Right top is Sugar, and far right bottom is Eddie (use to be known as chocolate). Eddie now has a white patch on his chin and his color is lighting up every day. Smoke (aka hershey) still has white paws but will probably get lighter as he gets older.

I went home for lunch today and saw the cutest pictures ever. Here is Sugar sleeping on the stuffed Animal dog with Heresy laying on top of her. I just had to take a picture. Ella is doing really good at taking care of them- I can't wait for their eyes to open.

Here's the puppies 1 week old. They are getting so big. The boys always cuddle up to each other to keep warm, and little Sugar is usually sleeping along. Pic 1 is Ella feeding Sugar. New Puppies 1 Week old

Well yesterday the puppies are one week old so I took some pictures of them and weighted them to see how much they have grown. ALL 4 of them weight 9 ounces now and look so cute as their faces are taking more shape. The boys usually sleep together and they leave the girl out all the time. But yesterday I saw them all each take their own courner in the whelping box-it was so cute. The puppies are sleeping more every night-the reason I know is that they sleep in the same room as me. So I am getting more sleep per night, and they are whinning less, so they must be getting more sleep-right!

I just discovered that Ella likes to line her babies up in a row before she feels comfortable to leave them and go potty or get a drink. She is constantly licking and cleaning them. They are the cleanest pups in all the city. I've been watching her and making sure all the pups are eating evenly. She is really cut with her babies, so protective. The 3rd pic from the left is a pic during the birth of the puppies. The others are pictures from yesterday when Ella was taking care of them. I find that I make sure I always have my camera in my hand when I go to check on the pups, because they are so cut to look at.

Puppies Finally Here

Well Ella finally had her puppies. I thought for sure that she would have them at Jenn's house while I was gone on my trip to Vegas. But she didn't, she waited for me to get back-Yahoo. Ella had her puppies on Sunday Morning 9-23 at 1 am in the morning. We had been up all night off and on, then suddenly I woke up and searched for Ella to discover a baby in its sack right next to her. She didn't know what to do. I new to brake the sack, which I did but then I called Jenn and she told me how to get her to breath. Thank goodness she is the only girl. The rest of the puppies came out just fine, but Ella was kinda slow on getting the sacks off of each face so I had to help her. All together there are 3 boys and 1 girl. Their names are Boys (toffee, Hershey, Chocolate) the girl name is sugar. I named them after all of my favorite sweet stuff.

Baby puppies coming

I had the biggest scare last night. I took Ella's temperature and it was so low that I thought I had taken her temperature wrong. So I got out the instructions and made sure I was turning it on right- nope. So then I took her temperature again and the number was higher but it was still under a 100 so I thought we are going to have puppies soon. I originally thought this was suppose to be week 7 on her pregnancy scale, but when I started counting again- dang it I had gotten off on my days and yesterday was really day 49. This means that Tuesday 9-11 would be the beginning of the week 8 and she could have the puppies at any time. I am so freaked out, what if something goes wrong. Thank goodness Jen is helping me out, I just love the puppies but the part of waiting for Ella to have them freaks me out. lol

Just to make Ella feel better I slept on the floor with her so she wouldn't hurt her self. I am a silly mama

Gaining weight

Ella is getting so big. She is really close to having her babies and gaining so much weight. She had become the biggest beggar and begs food from all the roommates because our food is better then her dog food. Her only exercise is walking down to the end of the street and then she is out of breath. At night she has a hard time getting comfortable and changes positions all the time. A week ago we listened to the babies heart beats and heard 4- yahoo. Now Ella has this cute waddle when she walks because the babies have grown so much. I weighted her in the beginning she was 11 pounds, now she weights 12 pounds. We should have puppies in a few weeks - ya. Ella is a good mom and I think she will love being a mother again.

Camping

Last week I decided that I needed a break and wanted to go camping. I book the campground and made my plans. I was going to be gone for a few days so I took Ella with me. The group that I was camping with kept saying that they had never met such a quiet dog. Ella stayed with me the whole time, she didn't even bark. She loved to sniff around the trees and stayed close to the camp ground. The campground was really beautiful and it was so quite I watch the birds and saw a hummingbird. Ella had fun running around under the pine trees even though she is pregnant and so did I. She slept a lot and got very dirty, and I had to pick the pine needles out of her feet every night, but she had a ball.

Ell's my little shih Tzu who just turned 2 in July. Two weeks later she was in the beginning of her heat cycle. I ran to the calender and then called my friends to find out that Ella's heat starts 6 months after her first liter of puppies. So I had gotten my months mixed up and realized that if I wanted to breed her I was going to have to find someone quick. I thought of my friend Lori who has a cute little miniature poodle, Max (he's gray). The next week Max came to spend the week with Ella- YEP she got pregnant- YAHOOO. Now I am making Shih-Poo's. She sure has been getting fatter these last two weeks. But she is so cute and cuddle when she is pregnant.
